"Uncle Jack" by Motley Crue.  That album w/ John Corabi is fan-freaking-tastic.  Anyone who hates on it is just childishly petty and never listened to it.  After reading "The Dirt" Crab is truly a stellar person who was way too good for Motley Crue.

A haunting song by a band I can only describe as mesmerizing.  "Ice Below" by Tribe After Tribe.  I need more of their music.

Not song of the moment, but more "band of the moment."  Star & Dagger

(I wasn't expecting their music to be as sludgy as it is.  I like it!)

Lola - The Kinks

Been running through my head all day. Therefore I was walking around muttering "La La La La Lo--la" all day.

Band of the moment: Plantation http://www.plantationband.com

They were one of the bands we played with last night.  They were added onto the bill maybe a day before the show, but they came out of nowhere and blew all of us away.  No one at the place had even heard of them prior, but we're all fans now.  They were a tough act to follow and my band drew the short straw of being next.  Easily one of the best bands I've seen at this venue.

The fun part was hearing everyone try and describe their sound.  Some people said "early Soundgarden."  I was saying "Kyuss-meets-Phish."  Others were saying Clutch.  Regardless, they're damn good.
