So, my ALL-TIME FAVORITE BAND growing up is a ska band called Five Iron Frenzy. they broke up in 2003, with no intentions of ever, *ever* reuniting.
And then last night, exactly 8 years since their epic "final show," they announced they're putting together a new album. To be funded by Kickstarter. They were looking to raise $30,000 in 2 months.
They hit $30,000 in the first hour. The next morning, last I checked, they're at $72,000.
Part of what won the fans over? A preview track, a new song, that IMO is as good as anything they've ever written. I've listened to it about 50 times now.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sb2S13C3yg
