"The greatest hoax has always been our will to outwit ourselves" (With lyrics like that, it's no secret why Burnt By The Sun is one of my favorite bands and one of my musical and lyrical influences.)

This song is "Cardiff Giant" from the Heart of Darkness album.

Normally, there is significance to the songs I post.  In this case, I'm simply posting it because it's a great song.

m-flo - Alive

Can't wait for their album to drop next week. Glad they're coming back after a five year hiatus.

Amon Amarth - For Victory or Death

Love this song, even though the first twenty seconds sound like a Mega Man X tune.

In anticipation for the new Sonata Arctica album this year, here's "Ain't Your Fairytale."  I still need to pick up Days of Greys.

Only Rush could make suburban high school drama sound totally epic with lyrics like "Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth"

Love the video too.

The new Of Montreal album is really fantastic and I have no idea why pitchfork panned it. Sort of a retread of Skeletal Lamping, but with a much more symphonic bent, a major page taken from Olivia Tremor Control's modus operandi, and... IDK it just really WORKS whereas Skeletal Lamping often didn't.
