I don't get it, with the announcement of the new iPhone, suddenly there seems to be a renewed interest in Liquid Tension Experiment ;)

My song of the moment is "Outsider" by The Restarts.  I'm sure the song speaks to pretty much all of us.  I happen to love these lyrics in particular:

Sexuality within, colour of your skin
Body shape or place of origin
Ammunition for the other side
Protecting their own pain deep inside

I love this song. The riff is cool, and I dig how it smoothly flows from dangerous to seemingly harmless to creepy, just like the multiple-personality sociopath this character is reported to be. Too bad my Japanese reading skills aren't good enough to play this game, as I am a fan of the series. (Somehow stumbled my way through Never7, Ever17 is my favorite video game, never played Remember11 or 12Riven.)

It's "Stray" from the Remember11 Vocal Collection soundtrack.

Enslaved - Death in the Eyes of Dawn

Holy shit, the new Enslaved is fantastic.  2012 has been a great year for metal. \m/

Indeed it has.  A few of my 2012 faves are Abnormality "Contaminating the Hive Mind," Doom Syndicate "Midsummer's Fall," A Sound of Thunder "Out of the Darkness," and Icarus Witch "Rise" just to name a few.

I still haven't heard the new Dysrhythmia yet and I'm anticipating MindMaze's full-length.

Currently, my favorite metal album for 2012 is Abnormality "Contaminating the Hive Mind" so here's the Monarch Omega video again.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBf1kM0wBfg

Dethklok - Skyhunter

The new Dethklok album is as good as always.  It's a bit more epic than the previous two, but still brutal.

Song of the moment is "Grim" by Kiirsten Marilyn.  It's rare in my show travels to encounter a pop artist, but in my most recent outing with the band I play in, we shared the stage with her and I think her music is pretty cool.  Here's a vid from that show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=LjZfs9Kn3wk

If that's not your thing, here's Discharge "State Violence/State Control."  It brings back a lot of fond memories for me and has one of my favorite guitar solos.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPqHutz8zp0
