Guided by Voices - She Lives in an Airport.

This entire album is kind of great. Steps around a lot of the tropes of Bob and Tobin's recent work. A lot more low-key. A lot more noise and dissonance. A lot less obvious in its construction. As an album it flows really well. And the instrument-playing on the part of, like, everyone is just massively better than on the other two albums they put out this year.

You'll Need Those for Crossing - Los Campesinos.

Los Campesinos have some of the best damn lyrics I've ever heard.

Song of the moment is "Crunkenstein" by Non-Stop.  This is from when they had a female vocalist (they now have a male vocalist) and it's some good punk-thrash crossover.  http://non-stop.bandcamp.com/

Also man the song Ragtime Queen from Fraggle Rock is kind of amazing.

Circus Maximus - Reach Within, kind of the pop side of Circus Maximus. Love the upbeat tempo.

Song of the moment is probably "Rotten Tooth" by Jar'd Loose.  They're a Chicago-based heavy rock band my band played a show with earlier this month in Delaware.  Good band, good people, the name is kinda lame though.

Another song of the moment may be "This is a Love Song" by a south Jersey local band called Angels 8 Riot I finally got to see play last night.  Fun band and really good dudes.  They make me think "early Weezer, but with balls and a punk edge."

If Motorhead and Discharge had a baby, it would be Inepsy. I need more Inepsy in my life.

Song of the moment is Inepsy "Lost the Ride"
