Blues Traveler - Onslaught

I love BT's early material. The musicianship is so tight, and I've always liked their drummer's style. Plus, who can deny such vicious harmonica molestation? I've never been able to get into their post-Sheehan material, though... It just bores me, personally.

Paradise Lost - Ending Through Changes

One of the B-sides from Tragic Idol, and it REALLY should have been put on the album.

I got RickRolled recently and I suddenly came to the realisation that I don't hate the song. In fact, it is pretty good.

Who the hell Rick Rolls someone in 2013?

I saw Lucid play at a festival my buddies' organic farm upstate has been throwing these last couple of years. I've never been into jam band music but these guys put on such an incredible show.  I'm absolutely a fan now. I also ate some LSD late at night and ended up not sleeping at all and having a weird hilarious night in the woods. Good times.

What's the name of the festival and where in NY was it?  Pool of Thorns, the band I play in, love playing festivals in upstate NY and western PA during the summer.  The band's played Trishstock and Killer Pig Roast (in Locke NY), Nikstock (Owego NY), Smitefest (Williamsport PA), FreedomFest (Fulton NY).  It's funny, in the Philly area (where we live) no one seems to care about Pool of Thorns, yet up in the Syracuse area, the band has a strong following.

Anyway, song of the moment is "Man vs. Man" by my buddies in Dehumanized.  I saw them play the other night and they're one of my favorite death metal bands.  Super cool guys too.  http://vimeo.com/71940373

I'm actually from Syracuse originally, been living in Albany for the last 6 years or so. Glad to see they still appreciate good tunes back home. lol

The festival is called CrowFest. It really barely qualifies as a "fest," more just like a big party (one day/night) they've been throwing for the last couple years. The farm is in Keeseville, NY. Way up north kinda near Plattsburgh. There was a pretty huge turnout this year though, compared to last year.

The 'cuse area bands I'm most familiar with (through the festivals) and who stand out to me the most include LowKey, Knuckle Burn, Just A Peace, Her Tragic Murder, and Killaton.  And though they're from Ithaca, I'll include Ire Clad.

CrowFest sounds like good times.  Definitely sounds like the kind of event Pool of Thorns would want to play.

I've had De La Soul - Buddy stuck in my head since the first time I heard it.

That was months ago. Or a month ago.

I'll have to look into those bands. I don't spend much time there anymore to be honest but I'm around from time to time.
Oh and hey I'll let my buddies know I have a rad metal band ready to melt some faces next time I see any of them.
