I just confirmed that the song on the radio "On The Floor" does indeed sound exactly like the song my babysitter liked to listen to decades ago (The Lambada)
It's nice to know I'm not crazy.

I've been on a massive Blood Stain Child kick lately.  My favorite songs on the Epsilon album are Stargazer and Moon Light Wave.

Musically, it's a mix of melodic death metal, J-pop, and trance.  And it is great!

Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope

This is a very good slice of...Australian gypsy folk death metal.

Yesterday, I was at an all-day death metal show (first band was on at 3, show didn't end till after midnight, there were over 10 bands).  I was most there to see Parasitic Extirpation (Mallika from Abnormality also fronts them) but all the bands absolutely killed it.  My favorites of the night were Parasitic, Pyrexia (the headliner), and Car Bomb.  Car Bomb was the biggest surprise for me.

So check 'em out: http://www.carbombcult.com

I've been listening to my Ar Tonelico CDs at work to the point where I can subconsciously spell Ar Tonelico... if I do it in a rhythm.
