Lard, I think the D&D ones were called "Endless Quest."  Gamebooks.org (which I provided the link to earlier in this thread) should have them.

Rebel Planet's still the best Fighting Fantasy gamebook IMO.

I'd hafta say Sherlock Holmes & the Ender's books.

 Ask me this five years ago, though, and it'd be The Prydain books by Lloyd Alexander. I was obsessed.
