Played some Gears of War last night. What an awesome game. Admittedly, I'm not very good at it, but it's just so intense and engaging.
I tried to install it to the hard drive the other night, but my 360 was telling me this disc was unreadable(not so - its new). Then it was locking up on me. I guess I'll just have to play off the disc.
I saw Dead Rising for $20 at wallymart the other day so I picked that up. I played for 20 minutes or so. The only thing that concerns me is being under time constraints. I hate that(I'm looking at you Majoras Mask). I tend to take my time with games. We'll see how it works out.

Make sure the hard drive is properly in place. I had the same problem with my 360, a little jiggle and it's played fine ever since.

DQIV: 33ish hours.  Oh yes, crits are still king.  If only the darn casinos weren't busted this time around.  I figure in a few hours I should just about have this all sewed up, then on to something different tomorrow.

Didn't really play anything last night, but I watched the missus play through the middle chunk of Mass Effect on hardcore difficulty.  It was fun seeing Marina Sirtis actually have some work.  :P

Oddworld 2pack was like, 3.75 on steam this weekend so I bought that. Just go all the mudokons on the first stage. I'm really liking this. Sort of like out of this world or flashback, obviously, but the level of interaction with the environment is more like Exile or Spelunky.

I do feel like playing some sort of JRPG though I guess. Probably SaGa Frontier, maybe. I don't know.

I'm actually playing some FFX-2 which is surprising because I wrote that game off completely a few years ago. It's still silly but the combat system is just great.

Though I still managed to get to chapter 7 in SD4. I need one solid day of gametime to beat this but with homework in need of completion soon I don't see myself having the time till maybe Friday or Saturday.

Also made it to chapter 13 in FE:SD Causality list update includes:
Boha
Jake
Michelan
Navarre

Finished up my time with Phantasy Star Portable and moved on... to Pokemon for some reason.  Must be that the commercials for the new version made me remember I never quite beat the last one.  Grinding my main team up to the levels required to beat the final... the elite... wow, it really has been a long time.  I can't come up with the name for those guys off the top of my head, but you know who I mean: the trainers that you play all in a row and you have to be at least in the 50s to beat very easily.

I actually still play x-2 sometimes (when I ain't got no fgs or rpgs to worry about), sometimes just for the sake of blitzball.  My brother can't understand how I can tolerate X-2's blitzball after playing the original blitzball...  I don't know, I like it.

Kinda wish I had X-2 International + Last mission. I want my Tidus and Auron!

FF3 - 3.5 hours.  Forced mage reliance is lame.

I've been some combination of tremendously busy and tremendously lazy. I've played through most of Yakuza (somewhere in Chapter 8 I think), have about 15 Jiggies in Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, am somewhere on my A license in Burnout Paradise, played some mutiplayer Geometry Wars 2, more Henry Hatsworth and GTA Chinatown Wars on the DS, and some DJ Max Fever on the PSP.

Oh, and "erase all the shit on your hard drive so Apple doesn't sell your hard drive when you get your computer fixed tomorrow". Which is to say, my hard drive has been buzzing for the past few months, and I'm bringing it in to the apple store to be replaced tomorrow, and I don't want anyone touching my private info. Not that I have too much private info to steal, but I uninstalled all my games, deleted the WinXP partition, deleted all my pictures, cleared private data on firefox, and then erased the empty hard drive space for extra cleanliness.

Thanks for the bit of advice. I removed and replaced the HD, then was able to install the game. huh.

Moving along slowly in Gears. I am now in act 2. I had to redo the Berserker thing numerous times.
I like the checkpoint system in this game. You never really lose a lot of progress when you die(and I die a lot). Plus the game saves itself. Good stuff.

rpg-wise, I've tried to go back to Xeno III, but I'm just not feelin' it. We'll see. I may be done with my PS2. I need a 360 rpg to play. I have Lost Odyssey, but I really want to play Fable II. I just don't feel like forkin' out $60 for it. Probably wait until a price drop.

P3 Fes: The Answer - Talk about luck. Not only did I happen to a level of all gold hands which netted me about 8 glorious coins but I also got two rare chests that contained Aigis' Antimatter Cannon and Legs v.100. I think the cannon is her best weapon and those shoes are also one of, if not the best shoes. Very nice.

Suikoden - Just beat Teo's army. The game has been pretty awesome throughout.

Tierkreis - Been doing quests for the wives of Janam's king. This game is just pure awesomeness so far, I haven't been bored yet.

EOII - Last floor of the 5th stratum. Overlord's first form was so easy, Smite+Viper got the job done. Got killed while fighting his second form (which looks pretty cool) since I didn't return to town to heal/restock. Gonna finish the remaining quests, grind a little more and then try again.
