Yeah I expected it, especially when they said both localization and the 360 port will come after the JP release. I didn't have much doubt in my mine that it was PR speak, preempt damage control when they announced that they weren't aiming for a WW release anymore just to get the game out. I don't mind the wait though.

It's like this for two reasons IMO. given into account that the "360 delay" is probably a lie:

1) Be sure there's no reverse import all over again, despite what SE says, their "flagship" titles always have this kind of delay (see Dissidia), while "minor" don't (SO4, TLR);
2) To boost the following fiscal year with the US/EU PS3 and 360 versions.

I generally don't look at previews or screenshots anymore until the game is released, so I never know what kind of product I'm waiting for. It makes the wait for the release date SO much easier. :P

Besides, I have other games I would rather play right now anyway. Mainly anything in my backlog right now. XD

I was hoping for christmas 2009 because I seriously doubt they'll be releasing it at the beginning of the year. That probably means a summer release or in another words, another 18 months. When was the game anounced? It already feels like forever and there's still so much time to go.

I wonder how good it will look compared to the games that will be released on the PC at that time. Usually a new FF is jaw-dropping when it's released but looking at the games that will be released during the next year I wonder if the game will be as impressive as you might expect, considering that the harware will already be a bit dated.

This was supposed to be what FFX was for the PS2 but instead it will be what FFXII was for the PS2.

I wonder what the battle system will be like. I really hope they utilize the one from Infinite Undiscovery with just some minor tweaks. Such as characters using more then just recover items but also MP recover items and also being able to control other characters besides the main one.
