It looks...well, alright I guess. It does look it's going to be pretty patriotic, and, for want of better wording, overly sentimental. That said, it looks like it'll make at least a semi-decent film.

It's a comedy, right? Because, seriously, that shit can't be for real. "Overly sentimental" doesn't come close to doing it justice. It's even got an "all who are with me, step over this line!" scene.
Judging from the trailer this movie is a failure in every way. If you want to pay tribute to all who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack, sappy crap like this is not the way to do it. And if you just want to make a quick buck from the tragedy then.. well.. that' just not right.

This is just a cash cow, plain and simple. Why? Because they already made a movie about 9/11... it's called a documentary. There was one on HBO, for sure, called "IN MEMORIAM: NEW YORK CITY, 9/11/01".

They also made documentaries on World War II. Guess Saving Private Ryan sucks, then.

Market considerations notwithstanding, people want to get a feel for what it was like at ground zero. Documentaries are designed to give you the facts, not the feelings.

I think there are a lot of docs that convey feeling and emotion far better than any dramatic movie could. I don't think docs are really designed to give one thing or the other.

Here here. That was an excellent post by Lost Fragment. Certainly, the event was horrifying in all respects, but it just comes to the point where it becomes...overkill.
"NEVER FORGET" sounds like some once-in-the-lifetime rock concert that will never be performed again, however terrorism doesn't work like that.
Back on topic, I don't even want to watch the trailer. I've felt sorrow for all those lost, and currently in pain, either physically or mentally, but that time has passed a long time ago.

Oliver Stone is a great filmmaker...I think the trailer looks pretty good.
