Will Square Enix actually remake "Final Fantasy VII" for the XBox 360 gaming console very, very soon?

Though a remake of FFVII is bound to happen one day, I doubt it will be any time soon. In all honesty I don't imagine there will be an FFVII remake until the next generation of consoles are out.

But I wouldn't put it past Squeenix to put out a crappy port.

I don't see it going to the 360 if it does happen. Thats one game I *think* Sony would like to hold onto since it's ability to drive console sales would be pretty good.

Good god I hope not. Advent Children has convinced me they should leave it alone, they probably just got lucky with Crisis Core.

 Anyway, doesn't Sony hold the publishing rights for FFVII? I think I heard somethin to that effect. Or maybe just the publishing rights in America. I have mixed feelings about a remake, just want a new translation, but I'm guessing it'd be on a Sony machine.

If FFVII were to be remade, it would most likely be on PS3. I don't recall FFVII or any spin-off (aside the mobile games) on any other console but the Sony consoles. It seems to me that FFVII is Sony exclusive. Although, Square Enix really aren't respecting the PS3 for some reason.

What would be ideal for a remake: Keep the soundtrack the same, and tone down the random encounters a bit.
