I rarely write rock/metal, but here's a short symphonic rock/metal-esque song I just finished:

"Black Cape"
Composed by and (c) 2009 Kan [Reives] Gao

Still trying to get a hang of the rock/metal style. This song has a rather sudden ending as it stands now; I do have plans to extend it in the future. c:

Thanks for listening, and hope ya enjoy!

For a novice foray into symphonic rock/metal, I liked it.  But I do want to hear the expanded version when it happens.  It felt like I was slowly raising my broadsword and fixing to bellow out a battle cry, but it ended before I could fully raise my sword over my head, bellow out a battle cry, and charge like a raging bull into battle.

Heheh yeah, that's a good way of putting it, it does call for a lot more progression past that point. When I get to working on expanding it in the future, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!
