Is Dead Space for Wii going to be before the original Dead Space on the Xbox 360 and PS3?  I think I read somewhere that it is, but I'm not a hundred percent sure.  If it is, then would it be right around the same time period as the Dead Space Downfall DVD?

Man, I got to watch that and play the game already.  Sigh, darn backlog...

Well, there's nothing saying that the game won't stand alone by itself.  I mean, I played Shadow Hearts: Covenant before the original game, and I enjoyed the game perfectly well without the entire first half of the story.

If the devs really care about this new game, it'll be fun even if you never heard of the original version.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Rail shooters are /fucking awesome/.  They're the only genre on the Wii that...  Is better than anywhere else.  I'm actually more stoked for this game now with this news.

TIME TO GO PLAY SOME GHOST SQUAD YEE HAA.

Man, I hope with get that Sega Rambo rail shooter with Segata Sanshiro.

HOLY SHIT! TWO PEOPLE ON A MESSAGE BOARD AGREE.

I’m kind of annoyed that they’re not making this a survival horror title, but I guess it would feel like too much of a step back. The original game looks and sounds amazing, and the Wii just isn’t capable of offering the same kind of experience. But I think with some experimenting, you could do something really clever with survival horror on the Wii.

I’m glad it’s not just a quick, downgraded port though, and if it’s fun I’ll probably give it a rental.

In my experience, when two people who disagree on EVERYTHING suddenly agree on something, there's a problem brewing.

The House of the Dead games are pretty sweet on Wii.  I do like rail shooters... I think I was a bit too emotional with my first post.  I guess I just don't have a sense of the disparity between graphics capabilities among the big systems out right now.

Resident Evil 4 was great on Wii.  *shrug*

After finishing the game tonight, I'm genuinely curious if they can pull this off.
