Wasn't he a big part of the first two games? I remember him mentioned a bunch in Persona 1, not yet it Persona 2, but then again I just got out of Mt. Iwato. Persona 3 and 4 barely mention him at all. So if he does make a return in P4A that would be huge. We find out in two days I guess.

He's a huge part of P2, and is the driving force behind everything.

based on the the events of P4 arena i think its highly likely mitsuru will be in P5. i think its also possible it will be one of those rpgs with a large cast. perhaps suikoden esque. now to train some more with yukiko mitsuru and yu

I'd rather have a new setting/characters. Maybe a different region of Japan?

While it's entirely possible some of the P3 crew will appear in P5 as NPCs I very much doubt they're going to be the main characters.  But that's just what my gut tells me, how should I know (how should any of us know...).

Hope they scrap Social Links and also have no connections to previous game, maybe subtle references and that's it. I really hope it won't become a formula, but with the success of P3 and P4, you never know.

I don't mind subtle connections to the older games, but yeah I'd agree with something new in place of the Social Links.
And to the formula honestly. Every game has been a teenager in a high school setting. I wouldn't mind something different.

I mean, don't change things just for the sake of change...but they did Persona 1 & 2 (both parts) and those were relatively similar.
Then Persona 3 & 4 changed it up.
Two games later, maybe its time to shake it up again.

For 6 years already Atlus has made Persona games with the same ideas and concepts and these titles has been one of the most impressive set of RPGs coming from Japan lately, but now it's time to change things up a bit.
