So I'm in the final dungeon of Soul Hackers and I got to the final boss but I'm having some issues.

I don't know whether I'm under leveled or I just don't have the right demons.

I have two problems.

1) I can't get out of the bottom floor. I wanted to go back the Fusion station and try a few triple fusions to get something a bit more powerful - but I can't get out.

2) The demons I'm getting on the floor I'm on are pretty much all the same ones over and over so my fusion options are becoming extremely limited.

There are a couple of new fusions I can try but that means giving up my one demon with Tarukaja - which I don't want to do because I can't get back to the fusion station and buy another copy of it.

Am I totally screwed?

Based on what I know about the series, it seems I'd be more interested in the Persona branch of games...is PG4 a good place to start with the series?

It's a fine place to start.  The games don't really have much to do with each other outside of a handful of small references and cameos.

good to know. Thanks!

It seems to be pretty cheap for vita these days, and I'm sort of getting bored of Totori so this may tide me over quite nicely!

I actually had a similar problem with the final boss. I don't have a team that can realistically beat him, and I have to go back and do a lot fusing to get something that can reasonable take him. It's a pretty tough fight, unfortunately :/  The only thing keeping me from fully beating the game.

Have you not beaten it yet either?

There IS a way out of that floor; I have made the trek back to town myself.

The bosses are nasty. GameFaqs recommended fusing a Kartikeya with Tetrakarn and Makarakarn. The boss will lean heavily to physical or magical depending on a choice made earlier in the game so you only really need one. I did jump through the hoops to fuse this and it really helped.

So my for my first foray into the Persona series with PG4, I have to say there is a ton of dialogue. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting that! I knew the game revolved around story telling, but it kinda takes it to a whole new level.

Only had a chance to play the game in snippets, but I'm about 2 hours in and I think I've had...2 or 3 fights? The voice acting seems pretty solid, and overall the visuals look pretty great on the Vita. Looking forward to see what else there is!

Any ideas on what kind of time investment I'm looking at here? :)

About 60-70 hours for Golden.

The start of the game is pretty notorious for its long intro, it opens up a bit fairly soon.

60-70 hours?  That's fast!  I spent over 100 hours in the non-Golden version of P4...

Oh, true. What was I thinking.

You would have to pretty much just do the story alone to get that time. derp

If it's like Persona 3, the first 2-3 hours are basically not interactive, and then everyone shuts the fuck up.

I've looked all over the place, and I can't find a way out of that floor.

Edit - naturally, half an hour after I asked for help, I found my way out. :/

I was hoping the catalogue function would let me summon demons while I was down in the dungeon, cause that would save me but it doesn't appear to. :/
