I actually really preferred the more light-hearted approach I felt from P4. There were deep, ugly, personal problems and the game could get dark, but when it was light-hearted it stuck with it nicely and played along. P3 kind of made me anxious at times with all that turmoil and bad blood between a few of the characters.
P3 had enough relaxed and funny moments too, the only difference is that P3 was not willing to have many distractions unlike P4 that went closer to be like an anime series in tone.
Of course, I expect a lot of people to disagree with my point of view.
iirc, wasn't Ken suicidal?
No, not really. He goes through a lot of shit at a young age and that can mess up anybody.
He's like 12...
He's 10 on P3. 11 on FES.
