Hello old thread, I bought the saturn release back in the day and struggled through with the Japanese. The story is, when the psx version was unveiled, atlus had already written the translation but sony rejected it? I never knew there was a psx release til much later, the SS also had devil summoner about a year before which i'd also finished. I have to say, learning japanese has been very handy in the gaming world. In particular the Sega saturn and it's huge rpg list. SMT Devil summoner was freaking brilliant, From what I remember from the beginning, you and your girlfriend are murdered while looking for some lost concert tickets. very dark, very good

Also, I really didn't know SMT had such an english following til I found rpg gamer, this is a good thing as it translates as smt being an excellent series instead of an obscure series.

Hey Yggdrasil, I don't think they'll have jpop in the original opening because they know the purists will be sucking furniture up with retention if they did. But you never know, the psp persona has jpop which i quite like.

I suppose that Soul Hackers is gonna get an optional arrange soundtrack like the Persona games for PSP right? The original soundtrack has hold up the test of time so I'm curious to see what they can do with it.

Completely agree, It would be out of place. On another note, i notice the scripting has been changed quite a bit on psp persona. Maybe for the better? the original eng translation was kind of awful

I ran into the cover for Eternal Punishment by occasion. I simply loved it.
I'm highly in favor of digital for my portables, especially the PSP as I can also play on the Vita, but if the US versions happens to have the same cover as Japan I might go physical.

Doubt this will leave Japan anytime soon, unless Atlus do a limited edition thing that comes with P4: Golden and the novel like what happened with FFXIII-2.
