Megaten games? Grinding? WHAT??!?!

I always have to grind in Megaten games, but it's not bad compared to other games. I usually know what strategy to use to defeat a boss, but it's no help when your characters are as weak as shit and can't take any hits or do very little damage despite exploiting weaknesses and using buffs/debuffs.

I do realize that Megaten veterans don't usually grind for levels but I assume you need to at least grind for something, unless you have a playthrough already perfectly planned.
Let's say you are going to fight a boss in a megaten game. You can either be at a much higher level than the boss, have demons/personas with defenses to the boss' attack or a mix of both (and maybe something else I might've forgot).
To have the right demons you need to get them, but sometimes just fusing the ones you already have are not enough but you need macca to buy new demons to keep fusing until you get what you want.
Long story short, I'm either grinding for demons, macca, level or all three.

I've talked here about how the boss Matador in Nocturne gave me the lesson of my life. I do realize it doesn't need to be that hard if you play really smart but I gotta say, it isn't as easy as some people make it out to be.
I do have to say that after being beat to a pulp in a lot of megaten games I've been learning, my second run through P4 (P4 Golden) was so much easier than the first one, in Devil Survivor 2 I can go through must without having to grind.

Did they do arrangements of the soundtrack for Soul Hackers or not?

I like grinding for things that aren't rare drops or levels...maybe I should get back to playing MegTen games? It's been a while.

I wonder if the XL's price of $160 is permanent too?

Nope. Why arrange perfection?

It does have a six-track arrange OST with some great stuff though.

I'm right up to Naoto's dungeon in P4G, and yeah, the game has been easier  so far than the first time. Usually I die on a certain second boss in the Strip Club, but this time, I made it through. Void Quest wasn't THAT easy though. I'm starting to think it isn't my skill, but this game's lack of difficulty.

But I'm taking a break from Megaten games until after the holidays. Mainly games in general. I'd really like to get back to Nocturne, but my room has been taken over by the godforsaken most horrible part of the holidays...

@cj_iwakura: I was just wondering because I had no idea if they arranged the whole thing like they did with Persona 2.

Completely missed the localisation news while I was away.

Weren't there rumblings that this was going to be passed over like Flying Fairy?

Either way, excellent news. I'm sold on the 3DS now.

Strangely enough, no one seems to know if it has the original OP or not. The new one is pretty great, though. Very low key.

I would hope it has both.

That's an issue I had with Persona PSP; it didn't have the original intro.  The new one was all swanky, but the old one had better music and a lot of plot related CG.
