Got Soul Hackers.

I like how visually pleasing hacking is.

How?! I'll have to wait until the end of the week to get mine from Amazon.

Some places have broken street date. I hate them all. :(

Monday night for me, GameStop has midnight release.

I propose that we send in a strike force to the Canadian capital to demand their video game retailers to stop breaking release dates.

I hope I'm not jumping the gun, but the early impressions have been very good, which gives me hope this will actually, gasp, sell.

It was advertised on the Eshop in the upcoming games section, so that should help it. EOIV currently has a 5 star rating in the Eshop and is listed under the "must-have" games section. This gives me a lot of hope for Soul Hackers.

I believe Destructoid reviewed Soul Hackers at a 9/10. I remember Atlus making an announcement via their Facebook page that Destructoid reviewed this, but seems like the review isn't public yet? Don't know.

Haha, CJ got it right, you'll have better luck with a independent store, they're more apt to breaking street date.  The only perk employees get is fifteen-percent off.  Whoop whoop...

I'm excited to play, this will be my first proper shin meg ten title I think (dunno if DDS counts).  I'm counting on the MegTenTards here to help me if I suck...or something... or tell me "I suck" and "go play Sesasme Street for the Kinect!! Craazy ho."

Just saw the SMTIV battle vids on the front page, and I am really digging that boss music.

The battle music was what got me digging DDS from trailers.

I would totally drop the 220ish on a used DS + Soul Hackers if my backlog wasn't already huge :( Here's hoping the game doesn't become impossibly rare by the time I do finally get around to getting a 3DS.

Trying to convince my GF to buy Soul Hackers, but she only likes RPGs in medieval settings. Boooooo.

That is exactly what I used to say-LoL

No joke, it really was SMT/Persona that changed that. Fantasy/Medieval may still be my typically favorite flavor but I'll take these twisted sci-jpop-punk-modern-fantastic settings any day!!

Thats right... Sci-Jpop-punk-modern-fantastic is how I'm (boldly) classifying it! Sticklers for proper genre placement hold your tongues!!

Speaking of which, going by the city background and the mc seemingly having a gun, SMT4 doesn't seem to be sticking solely to the 'medieval , but with samurai' setting.

That was actually something I brought up in the discussion. "Maybe you'll like SMTIV more because it's more of a mix between medieval Japan/Samurai setting and modern". Maybe she'll bite with that. I'll get her to play an SMT game one way or another!
