We have Limp Bizkit where every cover they do is complete shite.

On the contrary, we have Cake where every cover they do is complete gold.  Their cover of "I Will Survive" was awesome and their cover of "War Pigs" was great too.  Cake rules! I <3 that band.

Oddly enough, Radiohead doing, "Wish You Were Here" was pretty bad. I'm a big Pink Floyd and Radiohead fan... and the later is obviously heavily influenced by the former... but "put me to sleep" doesn't BEGIN to describe how jaw-droppingly lethargic they sounded. You'd think they'd sound pretty similar, but I felt like my heart was going to stop because I'd taken too much valum.

Speaking of Radiohead and covers... There's actually a great cover of present-day Tears for Fears ("Shout", "Mad World", etc) doing Creep. They get down with some electric piano and hammond organ action, and it sounds pretty cool.

Back to bad covers. Oooh... I once heard Neal Young doing a cover of "Day in the Life"... not very good... not good at all.
