Battlestar Galactica - comments after viewing season 1

I'm afraid to do any internet searching for BG discussions for fear of spoilers. I've also had to avoid the other topic here,for obvious reasons. I finished watching season 1, and have watched the first 2 episodes of season 2.
I freaking(or would that be frakkin'? god, I suck) love this show.
Am I the only one that DOES NOT find #6 hot? She's played as this uber sex symbol, and it doesn't work for me. Hell, I find the little engineer girl more attractive.
I love the grittiness. Totally unexpected. People die! Bad things happen. Serious business.
Odd aside - Anyone else think about how Jamie Bamber has to suppress his accent to play his character? Why would they cast the role with someone with a natural accent if they didn't want it?(Same with House, I suppose)
The episode I just watched (2.2?) If they knew a cylon ship had crashed into the Galactica, why didn't anybody check it out? It was driving me nuts.

What IS the deal with Baltar and #6 anyway? Don't spoil anything, but... up to this point...as far as I can tell...she is all in his head. But how did a cylon get there? How would he know how to imagine it/her? What it/she would say? It confuses me.

Once again... NO FRIGGIN SPOILERS or I will kill you through the interwebnet. I am fully aware that most of you are about to watch the final episode tonight. I am jealous, but enjoying what I am watching, so oh well.

As far as Jamie Bamber, why shouldn't they cast him? He's good for the part. Lots of American actors change their accents for other roles. Same deal.

Yeah, this is my favourite show of all time. I don't have cable TV, so I can't watch the final season until it's out on DVD. Trying to avoid spoilers is driving me crazy.
