The game's called
Spirit Tracks
.
The boat is out, the train is in.
Thoughts.

We're close enough to April 1st and the Nintendo are big enough tricksters that I'm taking any game announcements made right now with a grain of salt.
Edit: Just saw the video, and maybe it is real. Still sounds like a joke to me, I dunno.

It's the game developers conference, and it's on the Nintendo Channel. It'd probably be outright unprofessional to pull a prank now.

I dunno, man. Did you keep up with the Smash Dojo? Sakurai played more pranks on the viewers than a Gnome in a Spencer's Gifts.

I don't remember any, refresh my memory please.
(I do remember exceptionally spirited news about completely mundane stuff.)

I recall several times where he would tease at something really big coming up and then the next announcement would be delayed a few hours, getting everyone's hopes up that it would be something mind-shattering. And it would be something really mundane like "How to Pause" or "YOU CAN TAKE PHOTOS".
So, kinda like you said.

If it's like Phantom, then I'll have to pass. I liked that game for a little while, then got tired of it. Especially that godawful never ending dungeon, whatever it was called.
Zelda needs to be completely re-imagined. I like to think of Twilight as the culmination of the old school Zeldas. It was good, but its now time for something FRESH. I don't think trains fit the bill.

Pass. PH was a complete letdown. I'm more interested in Zelda as a more serious series, these days. Twilight Princess was one of the greatest games ever made. I don't want more of the same, but I'd like them to keep with the direction they were going with that one. Let Capcom do the handheld, lighter games... they do a better job.
