Trains huh? Sounds, uh, well, stupid. I've been waiting for the reimagining of the series Aonuma promised, and I really hope that this isn't it.
Maybe it is just me, but a train sounds a little out of place for the Zelda series as well.

I'm going to completely derail this topic now, because power is meant to be abused.
It's great that we're getting a new Zelda and all...but what the fuck happened to that DS game starring Tingle?

Only in Europe. Probably because enough people who hate Tingle fucked up the poll they had.

Yea, I saw the Tingle game at a Virgin store in Paris when I was there. I really considered buying it, but, not only was I broke by that point of my trip, I had no idea whether or not I could change the language to English.

Break in the tracks, play the song of storms, epona's song and the song of time in order twice to go right. Bolero of fire, saria's song and serenade of water 3 times in order and one time backwards to go left. Then play the song of coal to accelerate.

Link says, "Train Train, Take Us Away, Take Us Away, Far Away, To The Future, We Will Go, Where it Leads, No One Knows!"
This train is awesome! Love and PEACE!
Nice outfit, Selphie. Er...Link.
I wish I could be more enthused about this. I don't really MIND that Zelda has trains. I mean, they've done higher tech stuff before, like record players and telephones. But to me, the train looks like the Wind Waker ship with wheels and tracks.
It's like the designers thought, "OH HEY LET'S PUT WHEELS ON IT! BRAND NEW INNOVATIVE GAME! GO TEAM! No one will notice.<3"
It just seems innovation is lacking here. Even the graphics don't seem to be updated that much compared to Phantom Hourglass. I feel like the series is stuck in a rut.

Phantom Hourglass was my least favorite Zelda in the past 10 years, so I don't know about this. We'll see.

It's my least favorite Zelda period. At least Zelda II's fresher and actually fun despite the challenge.

So we've got Phantom Hourglass, which had boats, and Spirit Tracks with its trains, so...what's next? I'm thinking Spectre Landing Strip. Or Revenant Terminal.

"Spectral Bike Rack"
Hyrule is now represented as a modern Japanese Highschool. Link is an average, but hardworking student, Zelda is his high-class BFF, and Ganon is the school punk.

lol
My thoughts exactly.
Nintendo, where is my 2d Metroid? :(
Read my mind. I've been wondering this for SO long. Where is it?! Seriously. The DS is perfect for a 2D Metroid. Game play on bottom, map on top. Come on Nintendo! I'd be happy with a beefed up version of Super Metroid for the DS.
As for this new Zelda announcement, I'm a little excited. I wonder what it will look like graphics wise. Same as Phantom Hourglass, or a new direction?
Edit: If that screen shot is real, then I'm not very excited anymore. I was hoping for a new look.
I just had a thought for an awesome Okami game for the DS. Someone make it happen!

This is a way better idea than being a train conductor.
I guess that makes Tingle...Bebe?
