Looking at the teaser, I have no idea what the RPG would be. I'm looking forward to finding out though. Apparently, it will be available on the PS3 and 360.

Does the picture in the background contain any clues?

to me it seems something futuristic..but it wouldnt be another star ocean because that is too soon..im guessin its a new IP, someone make a list of all possible tri-ace sequels.

It's an SRPG with random battles and a high encounter rate starring the two kids from Infinite Undiscovery.  And it has mandatory mini-games whenever you make an attack.  And it has to be played online.

And all movement in the game is done via Superman 64-style flight areas.

At this point, I'm honestly expecting something like this from Tri-Ace.

But isn't gameplay the one area that tri-Ace... well, I can't say doesn't fuck up, but they at least do more good than harm? The narrative stuff is what I'm worried about, given that they seem to be sinking further and further there, but the gameplay has, at its worst, been solid.

Meh... This only means that Star Ocean 4 will never be released on the PS3... I´m kinda unhappy with this.

You really aren't missing anything.  Trust me.

The background looks semi-interesting.  It could be alright, but i'm starting to become very wary of any next-gen jRPG.  Until this one, or any other one, proves otherwise, I'll be approaching them with skepticism.

Well, the teaser image does sort of look like the final dungeon of Radiata Stories, if I remember correctly.

If it were Radiata Stories 2, then they'd have to re-release the original, as we PAL gamers missed out on it, as we did on the original Valkyrie Profile....until we saw the PSP port.
