Recently, I've only been coming here a lot.  Ah...  Actually, I don't feel like writing a story.

So.

Why don't we have polls here?  I like selecting one button out of many, unable to take it back.  And of course talking about why I picked that button instead of the others.  Buttons are fun to press.

Well, adding polls is more Daniel's decision than mine, but I disable them by default because people make the stupidest threads. If Daniel's open to it, we can always switch it to a "by rank" system, but that's his call.

We don't have polls because they're pointless and for the lazy.  This will never change.  Never.  Don't even ask.

Polls can be useful, if you want to know whose going to jump on a game with online play or which version most people are going to get. But I don't remember ever seeing polls like that here, there probably aren't enough people seriously into online play to necessitate that, and there's (presumably) no accounting of people changing their minds for whatever reason.

The cakes vs. pies debate would have been a lot swifter...

Nah, the cakes vs. pie debate is a lot more entertaining split the way it is.

I was quite fond of the Yes vs. No debate/poll of...whatever year we had it.
