Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

Wonder how good the revival will be. I recall the original title as being one of the few sports titles I actually liked, so I am curious.

Haha - man, I loved that back in college.  When it was first new. Now I feel old. :)

Bonus old guy feeling: we had a copy of Arch Rivals, one of the predecessors to NBA Jam, in our dorms.

He's on fire!!  As a kid and a basketball player back in the day, I lived for the NBA JAM games.  I loved when you got the secret to unlocking certain characters.  Hopefully, they don't mess this up, and it'll be fun.

Same here. I'm actually curious about this. Those games were fun.

SO many memories playing this on SNES when I was a little one. Hope they do it justice.

I dunno, basketball isn't what it used to be when NBA Jam came out. When NBA Jam came out, it was the era of Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Shaq, lots of mainstream fans, tons of mainstream product endorsements, Nike "Just Do It"... it was huge. NBA Jam was building on all that fun mainstream love that BB was getting. I'm not sure that they could pull it off now. Seems to me that BB has recessed back to being more exclusive and less out in the open than it used to. Maybe it's just me though. But I don't think it's exactly the era for a cool, fun, over the top basketball game like NBA Jam to hit it big in the mainstream the way it did back in the early 90s.

I too loved NBA Jam on the SNES and still have my copy. Still, I'm feeling jaded on the possibility of a poor revival attempt, but you never know. It could lead to a nice surprise, but if not, at least there were no expectations. Maybe I should go mess with the SNES game again for some nostalgic fun.

I hope they have awesome Extra Player codes like the old one did. I liked playing as Air Dog and Bill Clinton.

EA just hired the creator of the original.

Well, this certainly eases any apprehension I might have had about this revival.
