I have to admit I wouldn't keep funding something that's been in development since 1999.  You'd need a hell of a lot of money to pay that off.

Actually... since it was announced in early '97 that means everything from the US release of Final Fantasy VII to the Japanese Final Fantasy XIII demo came between the original announcement and the (likely!) cancellation. In fact, that also means we saw 9 out of 12 entries make their US debut in that period. Check this list out.

Oh, and don't forget this:

Damnit! I just noticed that this news came just a little over a week after the twelfth anniversary since it's original announcement.

Oh well, we at least have Black Sigil to take it's place.
