You're just being cryptic again. It's like soap opera sex. Lots of boring dialogue and when they finally do go to bed, everything's dark and covered by blankets.

Do we really need a third Lunar: The Silver Star remake? Wouldn't it be much easier to port the Saturn/PSone version and make some minor adjustments?
Precisely what I was thinking.

Torn on this one.

One part of me is saying, "Oh god ANOTHER Lunar?" But...but...it LOOKS good. Plus it's being made by Gamearts themselves, and isn't being outsourced. This ratchets up the interest for me.

If anything, it means the atrocious Dragon Song didn't kill off this franchise like I though it would.

Hi folks.

We did a translation of the Famitsu article over at LunarNET:
http://www.lunar-net.com/multimedia/magazines-famitsuu-hss.php

Main thing that stands out is: "even the story will be strengthened with new scenes and never-before-seen events!!", which is Famitsuu-speak for "they'll be adding new scenes".

Given how much of a remake this is, how much buzz it's generated in such a short amount of time, and that Victor Ireland at least has indicated his interest in the title, I'd be surprised if we don't receive some news about an American release within a month or two. KF

Eh, they'll probably just add like 3 minutes of stuff and call it a day. :(

Yeah, you should stop by the LunarNET forums sometime!

Oh, and HI LUCCA

We'll know soon enough. But I get the feeling that there'll be some substantial additions, particularly to backstory events. KF

Please keep that hack away from it.

I'd like to see Atlus do it. Especially since they've basically taken the role Working Designs had but completely surpassed them.

Atlus is my first choice as well. Atlus, or maybe Xseed.

Two weeks ago Xseed did mention wanting to bring over a "enhanced remake of a classic PSone RPG" in this interview.

I don't think this is the Xseed game because it was a Sega CD game.  This also isn't just a port.

But the remake seems to be based on the PSone version.

Better him than Ubisoft.

And if it wasn't for Victor Ireland, there's a good dozen amazing RPGs we'd have never gotten in the states.

Show some respect.

This, unfortunately, is true too.

Anyways, how about some screens worth a damn?

I think those screens look great. Thanks Eusis! Still want this, even if I already own Lunar:SSSC and the GBA remake. Hopefully they make good and add a decent bit of new content.

I prefer to report facts, not speculation. I mentioned Vic since I know he's expressed interest; I can only speculate on the interest of anyone else (Atlus, UbiSoft, etc.). I wouldn't be surprised if any of them are eying the localization, and I think it's a pretty decent probability that it'll be released stateside. But unless something official happens, I'd rather not jump to conclusions.

Additionally, UbiSoft is capable of good translations, and really good work. Whether or not they actually deliver is a matter of how much time they invest in a project. I'd like them to take this on if they were to take it seriously.

Anyway, LunarNET's Harmony of Silver Star section has opened now, and GungHo Work's official L:HSS site has also opened. GungHo's site for now just has release information and nothing new yet; as for LunarNET, the only new thing we have is a translation of the Famitsu article (linked in my earlier post), though once GungHo updates their site with more info, other articles come up, or we get more information directly, we'll have more to report.
