Since you sold it last year I guess you would've already played Dracula X Chronicles, but have you played the PSP port of Yggdra Union? If you haven't played the original it's worth looking into.

Wild Arms XF is interesting. I hear the Mega Man remakes are wonderful.
You need DJ MAX. It is life.
The Disgaea ports are amazing(at least I expect 2's will be), and Prinny is hardcore, but fun. Great localization.

Which Castlevania did you play? Because the main game of Dracula X Chronicles, Rondo of Blood, is notably different from Symphony of the Night and most of the game that followed it. Rondo of Blood is more akin to the Castlevania Chronicles game that's also on the PSN, so you can download that and see what you think of it. Rondo of Blood is generally considered the best iteration of the classic Castlevania though, so it may be worth getting anyway.

If you like fighting games, check out Tekken: Dark Resurrection. I know good handheld fighter seems like an oxymoron, but T:DR is very good.

Super glue your PSP to a Megadrive and play Shining Force II. Problem solved.

After reading Dincrest's review on Crimson Gem Saga, I know I'll definitely pick that up since it sounds like a game right up my alley. Traditional and turn-based? Yes please!

I own both of these games, and love the hell out of them. See my not-RPGFan reviews of them here:
http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=2712
and here:

glad you mentioned both of them. It means maybe, just maybe, I don't have a totally wack taste in PSP games.
In the lands of RPG-dom, my favorite PSP titles are almost exclusively (Square Enix) remakes. Here's my list:
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
and that's about it for me so far. I want to play Crimson Gem Saga as well.

Brave Story: New Traveler was a pretty underrated PSP RPG. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

i know its already been said but as far as the psp goes i only own 4 rpgs for it. final fantasy crisis core, star ocean 2, final fantasy tactics, and suikoden (download). I recommend every single one. to me they're all must haves even if you've already played and beat them they're a must have just to sit in your collection.
