Some of you may remember about a year ago I posted a thread detailing some of Shining Force Central's members efforts to create a patch translating Scenarios 2 & 3 and the Premium Disk of Shining Force III...

Well, the good news is, the Premium Disk patch is finished and it works like a charm! Read the full story here. Translation of Scenario 2 continues (with Scenario 3 still looming on the horizon!), but it was very encouraging to see the first patch released and working so well!

Just felt I should spread the good news as I know there's always been a lot of love for Shining Force on the boards here!

They've even tried to do voice acting but... Um...

._. It made my ears bleed to listen to some of them.

Hot fucking damn! Now.....to wait for them to finish Scenario's 1 and 2 will only rob me of another five years of my life.

Le sigh

Hmm...  Maybe by getting to play Scenario II and III, I won't hate the first one so much.

...Man, Scenario II and III better be fucking perfect to make up for the shit that was the first one!  :P

There's no snow here, now all I eat are hedges.

Either that, or by burning the patched ISO onto CD and playing it on a modchipped console.

The SSF emulator is the farthest along as far as accurate Saturn emulation goes, and it still has a good while go to.  Sound is around 80% accurate, but there are timing issues with all games that use the Cybersound MIDI wavetable software, which includes a good majority of the best Saturn games, heh.
