Okay, this would have been a cool idea were it not for a few things.

If you're going to stage an event, you need some company participation. And by that, I don't mean announce the event and then leave the rest to the user base. Change random users into hamsters and stay pufts, don't force them to have to pay $2 in the shop if they want to be a hamster.

Its like second life, only free, and not as creepy. AKA not worth wasting any time with it.
