Well, the title is right. They're both shit this generation, at least to me.

I've tried ESIV and FO3. (Yeah yeah, I need to try ME and FII.)

At least JRPGs has VC.

So my vote if that JRPGs are less shitty this gen, though both could be a lot better.

I hate these discussions.

SMT Nocturne and Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines are two of my favorite RPGs.

It's silly to say one is exclusively better than the other. Each has merits and flaws, there's nothing to stop someone from enjoying both.

If I was to try to decide between my favorite JRPGs and my favorite WRPGs I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite really. If I was to compare the current scenes in both however I would favor WRPGs, but I'll admit that I'm mostly thinking of the console/computer scene, and WRPGs are very much quality over quantity.

I was serious. Maybe.

What I don't like:
-realistic graphics
-lack of colours
-sand box gameplay
-bald space mariners

One of those is not enough to make me want to play another game, but a combination of those factors will usually make me lose interest. That's why I enjoyed Legend of Mana and Romancing Saga, but not Oblivion.

Not that I like all of the things asociated with Japanese RPGs. At the moment I have zero interest in playing future Final Fantasies.
