There was an episode of The Simpsons when Homer becomes an ordained minister thanks to the Internet and marries anyone to anything, like the sailor guy to his ship's figurehead/"hood ornament." 

Yeah, once again something ridiculous in real life reminds me of an episode of South Park or The Simpsons.
