I'm so hyped for this. I hope they fix the stuff from the original SO4.

OMG
DREAM COME TRUE. And to think I was planning on get the PS3 for FF13 only. Then I though, eh, with the reduce price I might as well get the PS3 early for dragon age. And now I'll be able to play Star Ocean 4. Its a silly game but that's the Star Ocean series for you.
*Can't describe how pissed I was when it came out as XSHIT 360 only*.

Shouldn't we be more mature than this? This is garbage I'd expect from a little kid or an idiot teenager.
Anyways! If this comes out here (given the GameFly leak, probable) I'll probably rent it. They'd hopefully implant Japanese VA to be somewhat tolerable and let me switch between CGI and Anime portraits, assuming that wasn't tied up in some sort of licensing bullshit. If they don't do those... well, at least that item crafting bullshit at the end game will be probably be remedied in some fashion.

This isn't the kind that's fun though, it's just being a twit.

The only way this will be worth it is if they rewrite the entire script from scratch and get different voice actors. I'm doubting that will happen.

Being a twit is fun too, mr. sensitive.
Since this is the International version I wonder if this is a worldwide release or if Japan gets it first and then a delay till its release everywhere. If its an immediate worldwide release then there should be some English ads being put up soon. Star Ocean 4 is reasonably popular, I think. How popular is SO4 anyway? How well did it sell?
I'd probably get it for the combat system anyway. I sure didn't play Star Ocean 3 for the dialogue/story.
Edit: apparently some changes are being made.
-JPN/English voices
-Battle targets can be changed
-Menu has been redone

I doubt being angry over a developer's choice of consoles is very fun actually.
Anyways, this has been hated by people who liked SO3, and going by the videos this is a completely different type of awful than what that had. SO3 may've had some of the stupidest plot twists ever and an NPC with a really annoying voice, but the main characters were merely bland for the most part and it was generally inoffensive. SO4 appears to have some pretty bad twists still, but also a cast that's obnoxious and cutscenes that are torture to endure, and simply changing the cast wouldn't be sufficient given the source material. Ergo, why I'm hoping for a Japanese voice track; at least then I don't have to understand what I'm listening to.
Edit: Actually, if it'll have both voice tracks in the Japanese version then that implies both would be in the US version too, I can only see it not being there if licensing is an issue.

Sure its fun when you don't take things too seriously. I was angry but not that much. These are just games afterall. ;)
Hmm, might get Tales of Vesperia instead. Many people seem to think its a better game. Perhaps I should just rent the game first and see if I enjoy it. Hmm, must get that PS3.

The problem was never the VAs. It was the god-awful script. It sounds terrible no matter what language you're listening to.
Better solution- let us use the damn start button.
Also, if you're looking forward to this game because you're missing a 360, god you're in for a surprise.

That's exactly what I was going to post.
That said, if they're going to hire some goddamn writers than they might as well start from scratch.
Frankly though a real director would be a better investment of their money since good dialog can only take your characters so far (especially if they're flailing about like they're in some godawful kung-fu movie all the time).
