Not at all. There's a series of videos for each of the previous three games that summarize everything about Kiryu. The other three are brand new characters.

Thanks for the reminder.  I'll put the kettle on and bring a bag of popcorn for this.  Even though I have played the other 3 games I still want to watch those "previously" videos to refresh my mind.

I just got to Chapter 3, and it's been great.  The anger in Saejima's face was so well done at times, it started to scare me.  Like damn, that guy is pissed in real life.

Free dlc went live today. "Unlock the opportunity to make your character stronger, strenghten your relation with Haruka and 2 new karaoke songs"

I love the fact that Kiryu is a lot stronger than the other characters from the get go, not like those rpg protagonists that go back to level 0 in the sequel. He kicks some very serious ass.

Just finished it. What a fantastic cast of characters, this is up there with the very best games the PS3 has to offer. A masterpiece.

Wow this games good, thought i'd give it a go last night and stayed on it for a few hours. I couldn't help but to think, wouldn't it be great if Sega built Shenmue 3 on the same engine with the ability to watch videos from the previous 2 games??

Anyway, i like the English subtitles with Japanese voice's, really adds to the feel of the game. This will be my next game after I finish eternal sonata

I'll be starting this next Tuesday night when I'm off work for the following 11 days.  It's like counting down to Christmas morning, I can't wait!

Then I visit this thread and hear everyone else jizzing about how great this is then I start jizzing myself.  Super excited.
