That article presents 0 evidence showing that said commericals resulted in lost sales.  Kind of silly considering they put it in the article title.

I thought the Agarest War trailer was hilarious.  What's even more hilarious is people's responses: there's actually morons out there that after watching the trailer now think Agarest War is a hentai game.  Really.  Even my mother, who knows 0 about games, was able to quickly deduce that the ad was simply a marketing joke.

Its the same marketing ploy most movies use these days. Take the absolute best of the movie and stick it in a trailer to deceive people that the movie in question is higher quality than it is. After all why would anyone show you the best parts of something for free (especially given how barely watchable said trailer usually is)?

Yes, though i dont have xbox, its a really crazy move they made there xD but ive seen lots of reactions everywhere, maybe their madness is woring in their business, as for me im waiting to see if they will do something crazy for ps3 digital download :D

Of course, the ploy backfires on someone like me.  My line of logic is "why waste money on that when I could get a pair of real eroge titles from Peach Princess or something?"

Well this isnt exactly an eroge game o.o, maybe 20% of it is related to "ero" stuff, supposely it haves a interesting story, it haves an extensive strategy battles system, as well as the breeding system, with the 5  generations, and the status of your son depends on her mother or spouse, whatever the perspective you see it.... of the little "eroge" games i know, there was never a system where you use your son later on, and if is there, the story would end with the son (probably), not with the next 4 generations xD

Nope, Aksys released ANOTHER trailer with ero themes.  That makes two now, plus some bawdy press releases.

Because JAST's lineup of RPGs sucks...though Mangagamer's upcoming Koihime Musou could be interesting.  On the other hand, Japan has a ton of 18+ RPGs available (Sengoku Rance being one of the best, now fan-translated).  Still, games like Ar Tonelico and Agarest War have a certain charm to them.  Hell, Ar Tonelico 2 ranks near the top at Erogamescape, a site that compiles user metascores for visual novel-style games (18+ or otherwise).
