After throughly cleaning my computer and the video card, I've realized that the fan on the card is pretty much shot.  It struggles to spin at full speed and usually ends up spinning slower then it should.  I need a new video card but my computer is only compatible with AGP.

I have a Radeon 9800 XT right now, any suggestions that wouldn't really be degrading my computer?

I would recomend this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150131

It's not particularly cheap ($300), but it's a very solid offering for an AGP card.

I'm not sure if they're better or worse than the 9800XT you have, but the GeForce 6200s are pretty cheap at Newegg, and are a generation ahead of the 9X00 series. I'd go look into some benchmarks though. Also, I'm pretty sure I saw an X1600 for around $150 at Newegg.

That's a lot of money to be spending on an interface that's on its way out.  I'd recommend the x1800 GTO.

It's also important, in regards of how much to blow on a card, just /what/ the rest of his computer specs are like. The CPU can be more of a hurdle than the video card for good graphics for example, ergo better to get something cheap. Likewise, if his computer is very powerful for one with an AGP slot, then that 300 card... MIGHT not be such a bad idea.

Here's my specs (straight from my invoice):

INTEL 3GHZ 800FSB
CORSAIR 512MB PC3200 PC400 DDR x2
ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE I875 MB

And of course the Radeon 9800 XT I'm looking to replace.  I don't want anything badass, just something equivalent.  I only really play WoW.  Looking for around 150$ price range.

After a quick glance, this looks good. I have a eVGA 5200 card myself, and so far it's been running fine. I haven't had i too long though, but I don't think there'll be any major issues with that.

I'd stay away from *LE cards. Had huge problems with a GeForce6800LE some time back.

I'd suggest that you get either a GeForce6600GT or a plain vanilla GeForce6800/GT. Both should be pretty cheap these days, and will be enough to run WoW and then some.
