That at the end of video games commercials, where they show the physical game case and cover (assuming it's a multi-platform game), that the 360 version of said game is always centered, and enlarged?

It just seems like an odd thing for Microsoft to pay for - almost like saying "Look at me in the center! I'm the legitimate copy of this game!"

Considering that almost every multiplatform game made for the current generation outsells the competition by a large margin on the 360, it's money well worth spent.

Yes, that's true. I suppose it must have some sort of quantifiable effect on sales, then.

Probably not - those platforms just had the biggest install base out of the options.  I mean, if anything's coming out for the Wii and the 360, the Wii version is generally a crappy port.  (Feel free to prove me wrong - I didn't do any research.  That's just my gut feeling.)

Sadly, you're right.  I think the only game I can think of where that isn't true is Ghostbusters, where the 360/PS3 and Wii/PS2/PSP versions of the game were made by compeltely different studios and are essentially two different games.

When Fallout 3 came out, when it got advertised, it only ever advertised the Xbox 360 and PC versions. It was like saying that it never came out on PS3.

I barely even remember it coming out for PS3. I can definitely see how multiplatform games are marketed with a 360 bias, since I've seen several games at the game shop at the PS3 section and been like, "Wait, that was multiplatform?" Bioshock was an example of this, until like a month ago I didn't even know it was on anything BUT 360.

Well, granted, the PS3 version of Bioshock came out a lot later then the 360 version.  It was almost a year later if I'm not mistaken.

Over here, the Tekken 6 commercials are only advertising the PS3 and PSP versions.
