I liked it, but it wasn't the best thing ever.

Good impression, I can't say I disagree with anything you said. Haven't seen the original series either, but based on the first ep, I'll keep watching, it really did have me involved by the end, though it started off slow, and kinda typical...
The kid is annoying. Having two actors from Firefly made up for it. Morena Baccarin is probably the best casting choice they made, but I love Alan Tudyk.

I watched it, it was terrible.
Not because the original is classic, it was just done incredibly badly.

i'm totally looking forward to sum lizard peeps eating rats! 1st episode was enough to get the story rolling and i anticipate episode 2.
edit*
just finished episode 2. it left me with a feeling of disappointment. the story didn't advance at all. nothing really happened that didn't happen in the 1st ep. the only thing we've discovered is that
this girl
is mildly cute.

It's kind of a moot point when you realize that under that hot chick facade is an evil reptilian alien bent on our utter subjugation and subsequent annihilation.
Anyway, I
watched episode 2
and it's better than the first episode but doesn't really go anywhere.

That didn't stop certain killer androids from also being smokin' hot despite wanting humanity's complete and utter destruction.

I just watched the pilot on Hulu. It was pretty good, but it was on the predictable side. I'll maybe give it a few more episodes before I decide whether or not I'll keep watching it.

i watched the original series when it came out and i liked it. like another said in a different forum i frequent old school V portrayed the aliens as Nazi's from outer space. the way they acted, dressed and carried themselves fit that description quite nicely. we can only hope it reverts to that once the ball gets rolling.

They're hosted on Hulu.com until December 20th. I missed the last two episodes 'cause I was on a road trip.
I think the rest of the season picks up in March. I hate when seasons get aired in pieces like this.
