Good question.  Also looks like the whole Arek enigma won't be illuminated, based on the cast list.  Maybe he won't show up at all.

Aren't they the Bomb Bros. (or whatever they were called).

I've been wondering...
Code:
Did Maxim dump Tia for Selan? I don't remember though, what was Tia's reason for leaving the party again?

SPOILERS BECAUSE THE CODE TAG MAKES MY EYES HURT

Maxim didn't 'dump' Tia. Tia left because she was in love with Maxim, but she realized that whenever he went into battle she'd worry about him too much, and it wasn't something she wanted to feel for the rest of her life. Maxim also never thought of Tia as anything more than a childhood friend, so it was pretty much fated to end before it began.

Oh geez, they gave Maxim a metrosexual look right out of Persona:

http://www.true-gaming.net/tgupload/images2/09111920456cd4ed0e378d3009.jpg

Got this from NeoGAF:

Quote

Some excerpts from the interview that I guess are notable:

-It was a request by SE
-It's in no way a port
-It's different from a remake; the story, characters, and world-view have been reconstructed
-The Wave Device is (a) key, the world is different from the SNES version
-It's still like a Lufia game
-The bottom screen is only used for changing characters
-The D-Pad is more central than the stylus
-It's programmed so bosses take up both screens
-While the bosses are difficult, a guide isn't needed (I think that's what he said...)
-Action game players will be satisfied, but it's fine for those who aren't good at action games as well
-The elements are a growth of the RPG (you'll be hurt if you waste time)
-The scenario is based on II, and there are parts where the lines are the same as II's, but it's basically been completely rewritten
-The number of places like towns that will be in the game is different from I and II
-There are also elements we tried to add for the fans of the series so far
-You can figure out hidden setups within the puzzles
-They're bringing back music from I and II
-The sound quality has been improved without tampering with the melody line
-The main staff from the original version are making it
-They're keeping things like "xxx of Magic" and "Magical xxx" as they are since back then (I think they're talking about treasures/items or something?)

As much as I like Maxim story but we ALL know how it will end and we already seen 2 version of the ending:  Beginning of the Lufia 1 and the true ending in Lufia 2.  Alothough I will still buy it and I really look forward to CD quality music of the boss theme, including the sinistral theme, which is one of the most heart pounding boss theme in rpg, even better to the most recent rpg.

Considering it's being completely rewritten, the ending may be different this time - but frankly, that would be dumb because said ending's one of the best out there.

I mean what happen to Maxim and Selena will not change at the end, else the story in Lufia 1 will be different.

I'm surprised that its taken this long to come out and say that the reason for the changes is to fit Ruins of Lore in the main cannon rather than leaving it to languish as just a Gaiden.

Also I think I'm just going to leave this here.

Also these.

I wonder if Tia is in the game? She wasn't even in the trailer. I hope that elf guy, Art, is still in the game too.

It looks like it could be pretty good. Dungeon exploring looked fun, and the boss fights looked intense.

She might have been, but your guess is as good as mine thanks to this new fangled art.

As for Arty. Something would have to be very wrong for him to not exist in this version for Pime Taradox.

Code:
Since you know, he is sorta one of the four heroes (right up there with along with those nobodies Maxim, Selan, and Guy).

I'd rather they start calling the series Estpolis in America since a) Lufia's only in the first (chronologically second) game, and b) mainstream gamers wouldn't give a shit anyway. As for the game itself, the graphics look good, but I'll wait on reviews.

I don't really see what the big deal with the original Lufia was since to me it was a worse-than-generic RPG.

Lufia II's the only game in the series I liked despite its awful localization and glitched Dual Blade Shrine, though I haven't played the third and fourth ones.

Well, back in snes days, the story is decent and both 1 and 2 got some kickass soundtrack that "stick in gamer heart".  Also, how can someone not  like a game where you can kill being with god like power?
