New album info, bitches. It's being called "A Matter of Life and Death".
Track list:
01. Different Worlds (Smith/Harris) 4:17
02. These Colours Don't Run (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 6:52
03. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 8:44
04. The Pilgrim (Gers/Harris) 5:07
05. The Longest Day (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 7:48
06. Out Of the Shadows (Dickinson/Harris) 5:36
07. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg (Murray/Harris) 7:21
08. For The Greater Good of God (Harris) 9:24
09. Lord Of Light (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 7:23
10. The Legacy (Gers/Harris) 9:20
Holy fuck, look at all those Adrian Smith songs. This thing has the potential to be a fucking killer album. Seems like there's an abundance of overly long songs though, but I'll manage. :P

Sounds awesome. I like the name of the second track :P
I'll be pretty shocked if this album doesn't kick some serious arse. And I get to see some of the new stuff live!
Wonder what the artwork will be like.

Though I notice there's no obligatory 'ridiculously long track' that I generally see at the end of many a metal album.

Sounds awesome. I haven't heard much from Dance of Death still, but I enjoyed what I heard. And I loved Brave New World, so... I'll probably love this album as well. :P

Oddly enough, Brave New World is my favorite Maiden track. Even more than Number of the Beast, Powerslave, or Seventh Son. I dunno why. Just... Like it lots. :P

Kerrang this week has a short interview with Bruce and Steve about the new album. It sounds really good, the themes being religious fundamentalism, war, terrorism and nuclear issues and all that jazz.
The first single will be 'The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg,' in August.
Also of note, Bruce says they're considering playing the entire album all the way through at the shows, which would be really great.
Also also of note, Steve says he definitely wants to so one more Maiden album, so no retirement just yet!

Well, Harry has been talking about retiring since Brave New World, so I assume he's just talking bollocks. I mean, Maiden is a great band AND a cash generating machine of epic proportions. :P

Yeah, but a good chunk of that cash is merchandising, and Steve Harris makes enough off that alone to feed a small African nation. :P
I can't believe they aren't using that first short track as the lead single. Guess you should expect the unexpected, eh?

Well, I mean, Jesus, the first single from Brave New World was The Wicker Man and the first single from Dance of Death was Wildest Dreams. The first song from each album. This Resurrection of Mister Magoo or whatever is a slight departure from the last two albums. :P
Also kinda disappointed that Nicko doesn't have another song on this album...
