Hello

Was wondering if there were any of the old Working Designs members lurking around here? I was Sartori on the those boards when they were up and running back in the Good Old Days....

Hahaha...Working Designs. I doubt that a number of folks from here would have be welcomed on those boards by the folks over at Working Designs. RPGFan and Victor Ireland were not on the friendliest of terms.

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

I know Jiji was there actually, but I can't recall too many people.

while that's true, I would like to emphasize that they word in your last sentence is the past tense *were*. We actually got to interview Vic at E3 2009 (ten years since our first interview with Vic at E3, I believe).

Obviously, the chips are down for Vic right now. But the bad blood between our site and his business had a lot to do with a few individuals with personality clashes. So hopefully any "closet" WD fans that also wrote @ RPGFan can come out of the woodwork. I was never actively involved on the WD boards, but I did lurk on them from time to time.

Yeah, thus the reason for me using "were". It wasn't a simple grammatical slip, but a choice of words to imply the past tense.

I am sure there are some people on here that frequented both, but not many of the people that were on here at that time would have been overly active on there.

I've actually been on these boards a good while, but I've completely forgotten the whole RPGFan vs. WD deal. Why was there bad blood, if you don't mind my asking?

Did she give him an STD?

I would love to hear the full story.

Those were words uttered by Zach Meston in describing her.  Was but one of many wonderful behind-the-scenes exchanges between editors here and Working Designs employees.  Those were glorious times.
