Nintendo Power article from the January 2010 issue.

It's announced for Wiiware/PSN/XBL, with 8-bit graphics again...first robot master revealed, Sheep Man.

Edit: Proto Man is also a playable character now.

Awesome. Only thing better would be X9 with SNES graphics. And the only thing that would be better than that would be Legends 3.

Not to mention the OTHER playable character. (Most likely Roll since she's duo. Though it's not like they have that many characters to choose from. It'd either be Auto, that Police Bot from 9, or the good doctor himself but that's it.)

Also I've heard of sheeple but Sheep Man? Now you've lost me.

At this rate I fully expect Paper Man to be one of the robot masters (he'd go great with Cut Man and Stone Man).

Or it could just be Bass since he's a completely different playstyle from the other two character we already know you can play as. Megaman with the simplicity, Protoman with charged shots and sliding, Bass with rapid fire/double jump.

Only problem with that is that Megaman and Bass already had some issues with balancing the stages to work for both characters. It was annoying to play MM9 with Protoman, but that was DLC.

Coming out the same year as Mass Effect 2? Unlikely.

Then we have Strange Journey, (hopefully) Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2... Hell, I know most of the people here would at least consider FFXIII as a GotY candidate unless they completely screwed it up. Yeah, I think 2010 is too crammed with awesome games to easily predict what will be the best game.

Man, Capcom is going to milk this, and it's going to work, too.  Similar to how Konami's milking the Metroidvania's.  This will be a lot easier for Capcom, too.  This is akin to someone using a level editor and hacking a ROM, except Capcom has the expertise and experience in level design on their side.  I foresee many more in this style to come, with great success.

Megaman 10 was here.  Those games are lame.

I don't know, I kind of think, as the article mentioned, it is a nice nod to Philip K. Dick. And even if it is stupid, it still isn't as bad as the onion boss from X7.

As for me, I know what I'll be doing the day it comes out. I loved MM9, and was hoping that a MM10 in the same retro style would follow.

First thing I thought of when I saw Sheep Man was the sheep pokemon from gold/silver. Mareep I believe. They even both shoot lightning.

Personally I would've preferred if they preserved only the gameplay speed of the NES and opt for the Megaman 7 look instead. I think that's the best looking game out of the classic ones, at least.

Yeah, I would've liked to see a 16-bit Mega Man 10 this time around, but I'm content with getting another 8-bit game. The easy mode is a welcoming addition, and being able to play as Protoman from the get-go, and an as-of-now unannounced character (hoping it's Bass) is nice.

Also, it means more awesome chiptune music to look forward to.
