It might actually be smart, it keeps the game in the public eye for the whole month, which might be necessary with all the games hitting.

That's true, good point. The WiiWare version comes out one day before my birthday. I'll be getting that one. I should finish up Mega Man 9 before I dive into 10.

So they really did copy/pasta Super Adventure Rockman's plot into this game then (save for the lack of Amazon shenanigans and Protoman joining up instead of the six robot masters from MM1).

Can't wait for next week.

It's out. Playing it now. I'm liking it more than MM9. Great that they allowed you to swap between power-ups using the back trigger. Proto Man's slide and power shot are nice to use. I was playing around with easy mode for a bit, and it's actually pretty enjoyable when you just want to breeze through the stages. Gotta say, Solar Man's stage music is badass.

Edit: I'm going to restart on normal to get that familiar Mega Man challenge I've come to expect.

Got it, beat it, can't wait to really sink my teeth in and figure out all the little nuances.  Apparently you can detonate Commando Missiles in midair, but I can't figure out the command for it.  Anyone?

Anyways, so far the game feels like it's based more on actual skill then just memorization this time, although memorization still plays pretty heavily into things.  Although since I refuse to play on Easy mode maybe that's different.  I'll likely never know.  I'm also sad that they separated out most of the challenges from the main game into a side mode like that, I liked going for the weird challenges like Pacifist and Mega Diet.

All in all, I'm not as impressed as I was with Megaman 9, but I wasn't as psyched up for it either.  I imagine this will be like MM6 for me, where it'll grow on me the more I play it.
