Looking to purchase a music notation program with a budget of ~$125, $150 if necessary, and I don't know where to start.

Does anyone with experience with such programs have one they can refer? The program doesn't have to be the most shiniest toy, just something I can write more than one key in one document. Thanks.

I can recommend MagicScore Maestro. Use it myself, its functionality and friendly interface makes it easy to maintain and create your own music stuff.

After going the tedious-getting-used-to phase, it's a pretty decent program. Thanks.

Anyone else have any to recommend? I'm still open for ideas. I'm making the purchase the second week of January.
