Does anyone else find it weird when people fill up more than half of a "top ten games" list with games from the same series?  Given that this is supposed to be the Top Ten games for ten whole years, the fact that people are listing 3+ SMT titles is kind of off-putting.  I mean, I like them as much as the next guy, but I feel like there should be some variety in a list like this.

Since Tooker reminded me of the potential staff feature, I took down my list of spoiler-licious-ness.  But I will mention one of my favorite titles of the past decade that I cannot include in an RPGFan feature.  And that's Crescendo.  Most eroge is garbage.  I'd say 95%.  By extension, it's easy to extrapolate that the remaining 5% is crap as well.  Then I played Crescendo.  What a beautiful game.  This is a game that could possibly change people's minds about eroge.  The characters were memorable, the storylines were often intense, and the descriptions of lovemaking are among the most beautiful I've ever read. 

Hourglass of Summer still remains my all time favorite love adventure, but Crescendo is a close second.

Every JRPG but SMT sucks so it's kind of inevitable.

I am pleased to see so many people mention FFIX. I SO loved that game. Played it thrice so far.
My list wouldn't be very interesting since I don't play many franchises outside FF but anyway (no order): Fire Emblem (GBA), Fire Emblem Sacred Stones or something (GBA), FFIX, FFVIII, FFX, FFXII, Chrono Cross (that might be my No 1 actually),  FF Tactics Advance (GBA), FF Tactics TWOTL (PSP), er, uh... Blade Dancer (PSP).

Eh, I'm just saying it looks weird, like if you asked for the ten best Nintendo games of all time and just wrote a list of ten Zelda games.  There should be some Mario and some Metroid or something on there at the very least.
