I was actually going to create a separate topic for this, and I still may, but right now my Album of the moment is Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me.

Jay Mascis has a beautiful voice, and he can play guitar very well.

Well, I've officially left my band Sullen Door (due both to school and having a personality conflict with the lead guitarist.  The singer and drummer are awesome classy guys who I love to death.)

Hence, my song of the moment is a Sullen Door song called "Old Friends."  Subsequently, it's the only song on the band's myspace profile right now that has me playing on it.

The song is kinda appropo too.  It's basically about how you forge friendships over a long span of time (like say during high school or college) and then the time comes when you and your group of friends have to part ways.  It's a bittersweet moment when you don't know what to say but you really don't need to say anything.  Just a hug from a good friend during this moment says a lot.

Take me
And throw me in your arms and hold me
'Cuz we're not the same without each other
And I know that soon you will be
Leaving me

You know I don't know how to say I'm gonna miss you
And all the times we had in this life

So hold me in your arms
Tell me that you want
Us to be together
Yeah hold me in your arms
Tell me that you want
Us to be together

Save me
Pretty darling won't you save me
From all this sadness and confusion
You know this lonely will be
Losing you

You know I don't know how to say I'm gonna miss you
And all the times we had in this life

So hold me in your arms
Tell me that you want
Us to be together
Yeah hold me in your arms
Tell me that you want
Us to be together

Lacuna Coil - Our Truth

This was on the sampler disc that came with the Strapping Young Lad album, The New Black. It was the only band I liked out of all of them. I'm not so much into thrash metal, but I can handle it in small dosages, such as SYL, but Lacuna Coil isn't thrash, and it has a female lead singer.

Oceansize - Music for a Nurse

My initial favorite on Everyone into Position. This song is so incredibly moving.

The dream
It comes again and again
You're here
It's you
I pull you close and
Hold you tight
Into the sky you go
You go
And I can't change it
I can't change it.

Edguy - Trinidad

This is a fun song. It has some unique singing at times, if not goofy.

I'm really sorry to hear that Neal, it's a huge shame it had to come to that.

Miho, Lacuna Coil are pretty damn great. I recommend getting their latest album 'Karmacode.' It's easily their best yet. 'Our Truth' is fairly representative, although it's a bit poppier than the rest of the album, it being the first single.

Porcupine Tree - Buying New Soul - one of my favourite PT songs, on first listen. That damn good.

Some song by Machine Men

I just heard of this band from a local metal station I just found today. It's okay to be inspired by Bruce but it's not okay to try and sound exactly like him.

Yeong Wook Jo - The Last Waltz

From the OST of a movie called Oldboy. Strange movie, but the neo-classical soundtrack is awesome.

Iron Maiden - The Longest Journey

Okay, I think this one's my favorite now.  And I think it might actually stay that way, too. :P
