I work at EB, and I got an automated call from the company saying there will be a limited edition of the game available.

Judging by what the limited edition gets, it honestly doesn't seem worth it.  But since it's a Final Fantasy, of course I'll be picking it up regardless, along with my collector's edition strategy guide.

While it's not too much for the extra ten bucks, it isn't too unreasonable either - plus I don't know whether it's their typical Case + manual in a cardboard box, or if it'll be something like what Halo 2 or Oblivion got. And I'm enough of a dork to go and get that version.

I'd get it too, if someone other than EB/GameStop carried it. EB charges $30 (or $40, I can't remember) to ship to Sweden. I wouldn't mind paying $10 extra for an collectors edition, but $40-50 is pushing it.

I had this same problem when I was going to order Gamespot's 2005 E3 DVD, which also was only available through EB. I gave up on that, when I found out that the shipping would be twice the cost of the actual DVD.

This is why I hate retailer specific extras.

I don't plan on buying the LE. To be honest, nothing about FFXII really interests me enough to warrant spending an extra $10. Hell, I'm not even positive I'll buy the game, I might sit just fine with a rental.

Now if it were a FFVII LE I'd buy it the fuck up, but I'm a FUCKING FANBOY OH SHIT!!!
