Changing DSi to DSi xl

Does anyone know what happens to the Dsi ware games that have been purchased and downloaded to aDSi when we trade in machines?

I think I remember reading that they can be downloaded again to the new machine free; it this correct?

What about the copies of the game on the original Dsi?

Whoever buys the Dsi gets them with the machine for free?

I...actually don't think you can, unless your DSi was also bought in Japan. So far as I know, Japan and America both have different nintendo stores based by country.

Didn't look like he mentioned anything about regions though. Anyways, I think you'd have to send in both systems to get it transferred, so it's possible but kind of annoying.
